Skin overview

This MP7 is easy to recognise by its muted grey camo cut through by a hot orange line along the rail. At Minimal Wear the difference from a fresh copy is limited to faint marks on the most exposed edges. It gives nearly the same clean look at a slightly more relaxed grade.

Item type: smg. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The receiver, stock, pistol grip and magazine are covered in grey urban camouflage made of angular light and charcoal patches. Bright orange runs along the top rail and the upper edge of the receiver, with a matching orange trigger, trigger guard, a stripe near the stock and a mark at the top of the magazine.

Small specks may appear on the top edge of the rail and on the corners of the stock. The camo patches remain clean and the orange keeps its full brightness. At normal viewing distance it is hard to tell apart from Factory New. The grip, magazine and receiver sides look untouched.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of MP7 | Urban Hazard is 0–0.5; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (16% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

MP7 | Urban Hazard belongs to The Breakout Collection, which holds 14 skins.

It drops from Operation Breakout Weapon Case (on sale since Jun 23, 2014).

StatTrak™ and Souvenir

There is also a the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon tracks kills. Right now it is 1.9× dearer than the regular one. There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Orange, black and grey stickers match the scheme best, especially holo or matte designs in those tones. Placements on the receiver side above the grip keep them in view without breaking the orange rail line.

What to look at before you buy

  • Look at the orange top rail first, since it is the most visible part and loses paint early.
  • Check the trigger guard and magazine base, where scratches on orange are easy to spot.
  • Compare the float position within the wear grade, as low floats look noticeably cleaner on the orange edges.
  • Check for applied stickers or a name tag, which can add to or distract from the clean grey and orange scheme.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

  • Players who want an almost clean look without chasing a perfect copy.
  • Crafters for whom tiny edge marks do not matter under stickers.
  • A sensible clean option with a little room to save.
