Skin overview

Reboot covers the R8 in silver, dark grey and red, laid out like the casing of a machine. In Battle-Scarred much of the paint on the protruding parts is worn away, leaving bare metal and patchy red details. The overall colour scheme is still readable, which makes this the cheapest way into the skin.

Item type: pistol. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The barrel and the upper frame are split into silver and dark grey angular panels, with a black accessory rail on top and red lines and small red lettering along the side. The cylinder is dark with red highlights and a round emblem sits on the frame next to it.

Large areas of paint are gone from the muzzle, barrel edges, cylinder, hammer and the back of the grip. Red lines and markings survive only in fragments, and the silver panels look scraped. The centre of the flat panels keeps the most colour. In game the revolver looks heavily used, with the colour scheme visible only in general terms.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–1

The float of R8 Revolver | Reboot ranges from 0 to 1; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–1 — 55% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Price by quality

Taking Battle-Scarred as the baseline:

The comparison uses our cheapest listing of each quality; where there is none, the market reference.

Among 3 skins of the R8 Revolver in the Restricted grade and this quality, this skin is the dearest.

StatTrak™ and Souvenir

There is also a the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon tracks kills. Right now it is 43% dearer than the regular one. There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Red, black, white and silver stickers match the finish best and echo its red accents. Placing them on the silver barrel panels keeps the contrast, while dark stickers blend into the frame for a quieter craft.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since copies near the cleaner boundary look noticeably better.
  • Inspect the muzzle, barrel panel edges and cylinder, as these lose paint first.
  • Look at whether the small red lettering and lines are intact on worn copies.
  • Check applied stickers and any name tag, and note whether the copy is StatTrak™ or Souvenir.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Players looking for the most affordable entry into the skin.
  • Fans of heavily worn, scraped-metal finishes.
  • The budget pick when the general look is enough.
