SCAR-20 | Grotto is a Mil-Spec Grade finish for the counter-terrorist auto-sniper, with dark navy surfaces sponged and brushed in blue metallic paint. The mottled texture recalls a wet cave wall, with bright cyan edges along the rails and handguard. In Factory New the metallic blues sit deep and even, and the cyan trim reads sharp from any angle.
Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
How the skin looks in Factory New
The receiver and handguard are painted dark navy and covered in a sponged, brush-worked layer of metallic blue and teal that forms an uneven, cave-like texture. Bright cyan edging runs along the top rail and the edges of the handguard, giving the rifle a cold, glowing outline. The scope, its mount, the stock, the pistol grip and the magazine stay in a muted olive-grey, while the long barrel and muzzle device are black. On worn copies the sponged paint rubs off first on the rail edges, the corners of the handguard and other raised parts, revealing bare metal underneath.
The blue metallic sponging covers the receiver and handguard without any interruptions. Cyan edges on the rail and handguard are crisp and continuous. In game the rifle shows its full depth of colour, and the olive-grey parts look clean and uniform.

What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear grade, as lower values keep the cyan rail edging intact longer.
- Look at the top rail and handguard corners in inspect, since these parts lose paint first.
- Pay attention to stickers and name tags, which can change how well the blue scheme looks.
- Decide whether you want a StatTrak™ or Souvenir copy, as both versions exist for this skin.
Who should buy Factory New
- Collectors who want the deepest blues and an unbroken cyan outline.
- Sticker crafters who need a clean base for cool-toned holo or foil stickers.
- The choice for anyone who wants the skin exactly as designed.
