Skin overview

Aerial gives the SG 553 a light metallic look, with yellow and orange details and a white wing that reads as an aviation theme. At Minimal Wear the finish keeps its overall brightness, and any marks are small enough to need a close look. It costs less than Factory New while looking much the same in a match.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The receiver and the long handguard are finished in light silver, with a row of yellow and orange ribs running along the handguard rails. The upper part of the receiver and the scope are darker grey and black, which frames the lighter panels.

Small marks may appear on the very edges of the handguard and the magazine corners. The yellow ribs and the wing decal remain intact. In first-person view these marks are hard to notice. The receiver, stock and scope still look clean.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of SG 553 | Aerial is 0–0.6; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (13% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

SG 553 | Aerial belongs to The Gamma Collection, which holds 17 skins.

The source is Gamma Case.

What it costs in each quality

By price this skin is 7th of 13 skins Mil-Spec Grade SG 553 in this quality (the first being the dearest).

StatTrak™ and Souvenir

There is also a the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon tracks kills. Right now it is 42% dearer than the regular one. There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Yellow, orange, white and silver stickers follow the skin's palette and sit well on the light handguard. Aviation or wing themes match the decal on the stock, while dark stickers work best on the grey upper receiver for contrast.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since lower values keep the silver panels cleaner.
  • Look at the white wing decal on the stock, as its condition defines how the skin reads on worn copies.
  • Inspect the handguard edges and magazine corners, which are the first places to lose paint.
  • Note any applied stickers or name tag, as they change the look and do not always match the light colour scheme.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • Players who want an almost clean look while spending less than on Factory New.
  • Sticker crafters who accept tiny edge marks that are hard to see in game.
  • A sensible balance between appearance and cost.
