Souvenir AK-47 | Fire Serpent (Field-Tested)

Skin overview

This AK-47 is recognisable by the coiled green serpent with gold accents and its snarling head painted at the front of the receiver. In Field-Tested the serpent is still clearly readable, while scuffs start to show on edges and the magazine. It is the grade where the overall look holds up and the price of entry drops noticeably.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The receiver carries the main artwork: a green serpent body with yellow and gold bands coiling along its length, ending in a fanged head with a red eye at the front near the handguard. Gold ornamental shapes sit towards the rear of the receiver, set against dark grey metal.

Scuffs spread along the receiver edges and the curve of the magazine, and the serpent's outline starts to lose paint in places. The head and the middle of the serpent's body usually remain readable. At normal distance the design still looks whole, with wear visible mainly on inspection. Lower floats in this grade stay close to Minimal Wear, higher ones show more chipping.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir AK-47 | Fire Serpent is 0.06–0.76; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (33% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

What it costs in each quality

By price this skin is 4th of 23 skins Covert AK-47 in this quality (the first being the dearest).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Gold, green and red stickers match the serpent's palette and the red eye. Placements along the receiver above the serpent body keep the head near the handguard visible, while dark or holo stickers sit well against the grey metal sections.

What to check before buying

• Look at the float position within the grade, since the serpent's outline and magazine change noticeably between low and high floats.
• Inspect the serpent's head near the handguard, as it is the focal point of the design.
• Check the front and bottom of the magazine, which lose paint first.
• Note any stickers, name tag and whether the copy is StatTrak™ or Souvenir.

Who should buy Field-Tested

• Players who want the recognisable serpent in game at a lower cost.
• Buyers who can pick a low float within the grade for a cleaner look.
• The practical middle ground for everyday use.
