Souvenir AWP | BOOM (Field-Tested)

Skin overview

Boom! pairs an orange stock with dark comic-style onomatopoeia, giving the rifle a busy, graphic look. In Field-Tested the base coat starts to lose paint on the edges and contact areas, but the skin's range stops early in this grade, so copies remain fairly presentable. The orange still dominates the silhouette in game.

Item type: sniper rifle. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New and Minimal Wear. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The orange base coat with the hydrographic print covers the stock, the grip area and the receiver, where dark lettering and burst shapes are scattered unevenly across the surface. The long barrel, muzzle brake, scope, bipod and magazine are left in dark metal and contrast with the painted body.

Field-Tested shows grey patches along the stock edges, the cheek rest, the butt and the trigger guard area, where the orange has chipped. The print on the flat sides is still largely intact because this skin's range ends early in the grade. Lower floats look close to Minimal Wear, while copies near the cap show more noticeable edge wear. In game the orange body and dark lettering are still clearly recognisable.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.28

The float of Souvenir AWP | BOOM ranges from 0.06 to 0.28; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.28 — 59% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

The source is eSports 2013 Case (on sale since Jul 9, 2014).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Black, dark red and orange stickers match the base coat and the dark lettering without adding clutter. Holo or comic-style stickers on the receiver and front of the stock fit the graphic theme, while keeping placements away from the dense print helps them stay readable.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since Field-Tested copies near the cap show more edge chipping.
• Look at the butt, cheek rest and grip edges, which lose paint first.
• Inspect the stock sides to see which parts of the onomatopoeia print are visible, as the pattern placement varies.
• Check applied stickers and any name tag, as they change how the busy print reads.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

• Budget-minded players who want the recognisable orange AWP.
• Buyers who accept light edge wear, especially at lower floats.
• Conclusion: the most affordable entry that still keeps the print readable.
