Skin overview

The Fade on the AWP is recognised by its warm-to-cool colour run, from orange near the receiver to pink and violet towards the stock, all over a reflective chrome base. Minimal Wear keeps the same bright gradient, with only faint marks that are hard to spot outside close inspection. It is a way to own the finish at a lower grade without giving up its character.

Item type: sniper rifle. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Airbrushed: a coloured coating with an airbrushed design on top; the coating holds while the design fades with wear.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The barrel, scope, bipod and bolt stay in dark grey metal, which frames the coloured body. The receiver starts in orange and gold near the front and shifts into red and pink along its length.

In Minimal Wear faint scuffs may appear on the edges of the receiver and the sharp contours of the stock, where the paint thins slightly. The main surfaces keep their full colour and the gradient itself does not lose its transitions. In game at normal distance these marks are barely noticeable, and the rifle looks almost the same as a Factory New copy. The metal parts, barrel and scope stay clean.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.08

The whole float range of Souvenir AWP | Fade is 0–0.08; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.08 segment (12% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Control Collection with 19 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Holographic or foil stickers in gold, pink or violet echo the gradient and the chrome base. Placing them on the receiver keeps them in the warm part of the colour run, while darker stickers can sit on the grey metal parts without breaking the transitions.
