Skin overview

Battle-Scarred AWP | Ice Coaled keeps its green-to-blue idea, but large areas of paint are gone, especially along edges and raised parts of the stock. The gradient reads in fragments, with grey base showing through between coloured patches. It gives the look of a heavily used rifle and is the cheapest way to own this skin.

Item type: sniper rifle. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The paint covers the main body of the AWP: the front of the stock under the receiver is bright green, and the colour shifts through teal to a saturated blue on the rear stock and the thumbhole grip. The surface has a faceted, crystal-like texture that breaks the gradient into small angular planes.

Large areas of paint are missing on the stock, thumbhole, grip and front of the body. The gradient survives as separate patches with grey base between them. In game the rifle reads as heavily worn, with the colour visible but broken. The dark barrel, scope and bipod look the same as on cleaner grades.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–1

The whole float range of Souvenir AWP | Ice Coaled is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in green, teal, blue or holographic finishes blend with the gradient and keep the look cohesive. White or silver stickers echo the small marking on the body and contrast well with the saturated paint. Placing them on the green front section or near the bolt keeps the blue stock clear.

What to check before buying

• Check the float position within the wear range, since a low float in Field-Tested can look close to Minimal Wear.
• Inspect the edges of the stock and the rim of the thumbhole, where wear on this finish shows first.
• Look at applied stickers and a name tag, as they change the look of the clean gradient and are part of what you pay for.
• Compare a StatTrak™ copy with a regular one if the kill counter matters to you.
