Skin overview
Crimson Web is easy to recognise by its red body and black web lines that run over every large surface of the pistol. In Field-Tested the red still dominates, but scuffs start to show along the slide edges, the muzzle and the grip corners. From normal viewing distance the gun keeps its character, just with a more used feel.
Item type: pistol. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.
The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
How the skin looks in Field-Tested
The slide, frame and grip are coated in a solid red base, with black spider web lines laid over them by hydrographic print and sealed with a semi-gloss topcoat. On the slide the web runs along the sides and around the factory markings, and darker shading gathers near the top edge and the rear sight.
In Field-Tested the edge wear becomes visible: the muzzle, the front and top edges of the slide and the grip corners show light grey scuffs. The trigger guard begins to lose paint as well. The sides of the slide and the grip panel keep most of their red and web. In game the skin still reads clearly red, with wear noticeable mainly on inspect.
Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38
The whole float range of Souvenir Desert Eagle | Crimson Web is 0.06–0.8; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (31% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
Souvenir Desert Eagle | Crimson Web belongs to The eSports 2014 Summer Collection, which holds 17 skins.
The source is eSports 2014 Summer Case (on sale since Jul 9, 2014).
What it costs in each quality
Taking Field-Tested as the baseline:
- Factory New — 5.1× dearer
- Minimal Wear — 2× dearer
- Well-Worn — 2.6× cheaper
- Battle-Scarred — 3.6× cheaper
Based on the cheapest SkinOut.gg listing of each quality, otherwise on the market reference.
Among 11 skins of the Desert Eagle in the Restricted grade and this quality, this skin ranks 4th by price, counting from the dearest.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Black, white and gold stickers sit well on the red slide and do not clash with the web. Red holo or foil stickers blend into the base for a uniform look, while a single sticker near the middle of the slide keeps the web visible.
What to check before buying
- Look at the web placement on the slide and grip, since a neat, centred web is valued over a scattered one.
- Check the float position within the wear grade, because low floats keep the slide edges and muzzle noticeably cleaner.
- Inspect the muzzle, slide edges, grip corners and trigger guard, which lose paint first.
- On Souvenir copies, note which stickers are applied, since they are fixed and change the overall look.
Who the Field-Tested quality suits
- Players who want the red web look in matches and rarely inspect the gun.
- Buyers who like a slightly used feel on a bright finish.
- In short, a practical everyday choice for regular play.
