Souvenir Desert Eagle | Hypnotic (Minimal Wear)

Skin overview

The skin's identity comes from its graphic black-on-pearl stripes, which bend into a hypnotic swirl near the rear of the slide. Minimal Wear covers only a thin slice at the top of the skin's float range, so a copy in this grade looks very close to the cleaner one. It is a practical way to own the same striped look at the lower grade.

Item type: pistol. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.

Anodized Airbrushed: a coloured coating with an airbrushed design on top; the coating holds while the design fades with wear.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The front of the slide and the barrel are left in plain pearl-silver with a soft metallic shine, while the black stripes start further back and wrap over the top of the slide. Towards the rear the stripes curve into concentric rings around the hammer area, which gives the skin its hypnotic effect.

Minimal Wear adds slightly more dulling on the muzzle edge and the corners of the slide, and the pearl sheen can look a little less even there. The black stripe edges on the slide and grip may soften very slightly at the most exposed points. In game the difference from Factory New is hard to notice, since the pattern itself stays intact. The swirl near the hammer and the bulk of the grip still look clean.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.08

The whole float range of Souvenir Desert Eagle | Hypnotic is 0–0.08; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.08 segment (12% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
