Skin overview
The design relies on a clean black surface with precise chrome lines and a gold top stripe that together create the illusion of altered geometry. In Well-Worn the illusion starts to break: the lines are interrupted by scratches, and bare metal shows on the edges. The pistol takes on a used, working look while keeping its colour scheme readable.
Item type: pistol. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
How the skin looks in Well-Worn
The slide is finished in glossy black, with its top surface carrying a gradient that runs from bright gold near the muzzle to dark bronze towards the rear. Silver vertical strokes and long chrome lines are painted over the slide and frame so that they look like cut-outs and rails, which creates the effect of a changed shape.
Scratches spread across the top of the slide and eat into the gold gradient, and the slide edges and muzzle show clear bare metal. The silver illusion lines on the slide and grip are noticeably broken, which weakens the effect of a changed shape. In game the gun looks matte and used, though the black base and the warm top stripe are still recognisable.
Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.45
The whole float range of Souvenir Desert Eagle | Light Rail is 0–0.9; Well-Worn takes the 0.38–0.45 segment (8% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
Souvenir Desert Eagle | Light Rail belongs to The Prisma Collection, which holds 17 skins.
It drops from Prisma Case.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Gold, holo and black stickers suit the scheme best, echoing the top gradient and the lacquer. Placing them on the grip or lower frame keeps the silver lines on the slide visible, while one bright accent near the gold front of the slide can tie the craft together.
What to check before buying
- Look at where the float sits within the wear range, because the top gradient and silver lines change noticeably between low and high values of the same grade.
- Check the slide edges and the muzzle on inspection, as these show bare metal first.
- Make sure the thin silver lines on the slide are unbroken if the optical illusion is the main reason you want the skin.
- Review any applied stickers and name tag, since bright stickers can cover or clash with the painted grooves.
Who the Well-Worn quality suits
- Budget buyers who want the Light Rail colours and accept visible scratches.
- Players who like a used, working look on their Desert Eagle.
- Worth it if price matters more than a perfect illusion.
