Skin overview
Ocean Drive paints the pistol in oversaturated shapes of violet, orange and mint, and even heavily used it keeps its colour identity. In Battle-Scarred large patches of metal break through along the slide, muzzle and grip, and the fine halftone detail fades in places. The result is a rough, weathered version of a very bright design.
Item type: pistol. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred
The slide carries a large orange-to-red gradient field covered with halftone dots, framed by purple and dark violet triangles toward the muzzle and the rear. Mint and turquoise accents sit on the barrel bushing area and in angular stripes across the slide and frame.
Wide areas of metal show through on the slide edges, muzzle, rear of the slide and along the grip. Fine halftone detail is lost in many places and colour borders become ragged. In game the gun looks heavily used, with the bright blocks broken by grey patches. Only the central slide field and the inner grip panels keep a solid colour impression.
Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–1
The whole float range of Souvenir Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
Souvenir Desert Eagle | Ocean Drive belongs to The Operation Riptide Collection, which holds 17 skins.
The source is Operation Riptide Case.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Orange, purple and mint stickers blend into the palette, while holographic or foil stickers echo the oversaturated look. Placements on the slide's orange field stand out best; a single accent often works better than a crowded row on such a busy finish.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the slide edges and muzzle show the difference first.
- Inspect the rear of the slide and the grip corners on worn copies, as these areas lose paint early.
- Look at applied stickers and their condition, since they change how the busy artwork reads.
- Check for a name tag if you want a specific name or prefer a clean listing.
Who should buy Battle-Scarred
- Players who prefer a rough, weathered version of a bright design.
- Budget buyers looking for the lowest entry point to this skin.
- A choice for character rather than cleanliness.
