Skin overview

The Duelist reads as a pair of classic engraved pistols, with blue pearl grips framed by bright metal and darkened slides. Minimal Wear keeps that contrast intact, and any marks sit on edges that are hard to spot in hand. It gives nearly the clean look at a lower grade.

Item type: pistol. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The slides are finished in a dark forced patina, close to black, while the frames and trigger guards are polished light steel. Both grips are painted deep blue with a mother-of-pearl shimmer and carry a large engraved silver medallion with floral scrollwork in the centre.

Light marks may appear on the slide edges and muzzles, where the patina is thinnest. The grips and medallion remain practically untouched. At normal distance in game it is hard to tell from Factory New. The frames and the blue pearl still look clean.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The float of Souvenir Dual Berettas | Duelist ranges from 0 to 1; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.15 — 8% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Souvenir Dual Berettas | Duelist belongs to The Chop Shop Collection, which holds 16 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Silver, chrome and dark blue stickers match the steel frames and pearl grips. Gold or holographic stickers on the dark slides add accent without competing with the engraved medallion.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the patina on the slides changes noticeably between low and high floats of the same grade.
  • Inspect the slide edges and muzzles, which lose their dark finish first.
  • Look at the outer edges of the blue grips for paint chips on worn copies.
  • On souvenir copies, review the applied stickers and whether they suit the blue grip artwork.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • Players who want a nearly clean look without paying for the top grade.
  • Crafters who accept tiny edge marks that stickers and distance hide.
  • A sensible compromise between appearance and cost.
