Souvenir FAMAS | Colony (Minimal Wear)

Skin overview

Colony keeps the FAMAS in a muted military palette: light khaki over most of the rifle, grey on the grip, magazine and a stock panel. There is no pattern to lose, so a Minimal Wear copy looks almost identical to a Factory New one at normal distance. It is a sensible grade for a buyer who wants a clean khaki rifle without chasing the very top of the range.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The receiver, carry handle, handguard and the long barrel are painted a pale sandy khaki with a slight yellow tint. The pistol grip, trigger guard and magazine are grey, and the rear of the stock combines a khaki butt section with a grey panel near the cheek area.

Faint marks may appear on the muzzle and the top edge of the carry handle, usually only noticeable on inspect. The khaki on the receiver and handguard stays solid, as does the grey on the grip and magazine. At normal distance the rifle looks practically the same as Factory New. The plain finish hides light wear well.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of Souvenir FAMAS | Colony is 0.06–0.8; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (11% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Muted olive, sand, brown and grey stickers fit the khaki scheme without breaking its military tone. A single dark or matte sticker on the receiver side or handguard stands out cleanly against the pale paint.

What to check before buying

• Check the float inside the chosen grade, since a low-float copy looks noticeably cleaner on the carry handle and muzzle.
• There is no pattern on this solid finish, so pattern seeds do not change the look.
• Inspect the carry handle top and magazine edges, which lose paint first.
• Look at applied stickers and a name tag, and for souvenir copies check what the attached souvenir stickers are.
