Skin overview

In Field-Tested the blue rings of Night Borre are still easy to follow, but the dark paint starts to lift on the carry handle and other raised edges. The scuffs add a used, field-carried feel that fits the muted palette. The overall Norse motif remains readable on the receiver and stock.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The base of the finish is a dark charcoal grey that covers the receiver, carry handle, grip and stock. Over it runs a Norse-style pattern of interlocking rings and knots in muted blue and pale grey-blue, with wave-like ring bands along the top of the carry handle and swirling knot motifs on the stock and magazine.

Scratches become visible along the carry handle, the magazine edges and the trigger guard. Some of the finer blue lines in these areas start to fade. The flat panels of the receiver and stock still hold the pattern well, so in game the rifle reads as lightly used rather than damaged.
