Skin overview
Desert Seal is recognisable by its restrained palette of silver and purple and the ornate scrollwork running across the frame and back of the grip. In Field-Tested the edges of the slide and the muzzle start to show bare metal, but the engraving still holds its shape from normal viewing distance. It is a balanced choice between appearance and cost.
Item type: pistol. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.
Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
How the skin looks in Field-Tested
The slide is painted in a muted lavender with a fine diamond crosshatch texture, while the rail beneath it and the trigger stay in light silver. The frame, trigger guard and back of the grip are covered in dense silver-grey ornamental engraving with curls and filigree.
Bare metal shows along the slide edges, at the muzzle and on the front of the frame. The lavender on the top of the slide becomes slightly patchy. From normal distance the pistol still reads as purple and silver, and the engraving keeps its pattern. The grip panel and trigger guard look mostly clean.
Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38
The float of Souvenir Five-SeveN | Desert Seal ranges from 0 to 1; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 23% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case
Souvenir Five-SeveN | Desert Seal belongs to The Arabesque Collection, which holds 17 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
Price by quality
Among 6 skins of the Five-SeveN in the Industrial Grade grade and this quality, this skin is the dearest.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Silver, grey, purple and dark gold stickers match the engraved, antique feel of the finish. Placing them on the smooth lavender slide keeps the frame engraving visible, while bright neon colours tend to clash with the restrained palette.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since low values in each grade keep the slide edges cleaner.
- Look at the front of the slide and the muzzle, as they lose paint first.
- On Souvenir copies, check whether the pre-applied stickers suit the muted palette.
- Inspect any stickers or name tag already applied to make sure you want to keep them.
Who the Field-Tested quality suits
- Players who want the design to read clearly in game at a moderate cost.
- Buyers who do not mind visible edge wear.
- Conclusion: a balanced everyday choice.
