Skin overview

Contractor relies on simple colour blocking rather than a pattern, so heavy wear changes the rifle's character rather than hiding a design. In Well-Worn the tan, navy and dark green coats show clear bare patches on edges, the grip and the barrel end. The result looks like a rifle that has seen long service.

Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Well-Worn

The upper receiver, handguard and scope are painted dark green, while the barrel, muzzle and magazine stay in darker grey-navy tones. The stock, pistol grip, charging handle and scope mount are covered in a matte tan, giving the rear of the rifle a light accent.

Bare patches are clearly visible on the muzzle, handguard edges, scope ends and the pistol grip. The tan stock loses paint at its corners and along its outline. In game the rifle looks noticeably weathered, with the darker base showing through the lighter tan. The centre areas of the receiver and stock still keep their colour.

Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.45

The whole float range of Souvenir G3SG1 | Contractor is 0.06–0.8; Well-Worn takes the 0.38–0.45 segment (9% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir G3SG1 | Contractor belongs to The Baggage Collection, which holds 15 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in tan, olive, khaki or muted blue tones blend with the colour blocks and keep the utility look. Placing them on the dark green receiver gives the best contrast, while a single bright sticker there works as an accent.

What to check before buying

  • Check the float position within the wear grade, since the muzzle, handguard edges and grip show the difference first.
  • Look at the tan stock and grip in the inspect view, because wear is most visible on the lighter colour.
  • Note whether the copy is a Souvenir, as such versions may carry pre-applied stickers.
  • Check applied stickers and the name tag, since they change the look of a plain solid-colour finish.

Who the Well-Worn quality suits

  • Players who prefer a rifle that looks used and rugged.
  • Buyers looking for a cheap cosmetic upgrade over the default gun.
  • A good pick for a deliberately worn look.
