Show allAllSkin overview
This is a quiet G3SG1 finish built from greys and blacks, with a leopard-spot hydrographic as its only pattern. In Minimal Wear the scheme reads the same as a fresh copy in game, and any marks are small and limited to edges. It is a practical way to get the full look at a lower grade.
Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New and Field-Tested. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
How the skin looks in Minimal Wear
The handguard and the scope tube carry the main pattern: black leopard spots over a slate-grey anodized base. The receiver, barrel and stock are finished in dark gunmetal grey, while the pistol grip stays black.
Small specks may appear on the muzzle tip and the front sight, the most exposed points of the rifle. The handguard pattern and scope tube remain intact, and the colour depth matches a fresh copy. At normal distance in game the difference from Factory New is practically invisible. The stock, grip and magazine still look clean.
Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15
The whole float range of Souvenir G3SG1 | Murky is 0–0.25; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (32% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
Souvenir G3SG1 | Murky belongs to The Vanguard Collection, which holds 14 skins.
The source is Operation Vanguard Weapon Case (on sale since Nov 5, 2014).
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Monochrome, silver or holographic stickers keep the dark, subdued look of the finish intact. A single accent in a cold colour such as blue or teal on the receiver can work well against the grey without breaking the overall tone.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the lower end of a grade look cleaner on the muzzle and sights.
- Inspect the edges of the handguard and the scope rim, as these show the first scuffs on this finish.
- Look at applied stickers and the name tag, because bright additions stand out strongly against the dark palette.
- The leopard pattern shifts little between copies, so focus on wear rather than on pattern placement.
Who should buy Minimal Wear
- Players who want a look identical to a fresh copy in game at a more modest grade.
- Buyers assembling a dark-themed inventory who do not need perfection under inspection.
- Minimal Wear is a sensible balance between appearance and cost.
