Show allAllSkin overview
Battle-Scarred is the most worn version of this spray-painted G3SG1, with chipped orange and exposed metal on most edges. Because the float range of this skin is capped, even these copies keep a fair amount of the pattern. It is the cheapest way to get the orange-and-dark look.
Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred
The whole rifle is covered in a dark olive-brown base with bright orange shard-like splashes laid on through stencils. The pattern runs over the receiver, handguard, magazine, pistol grip and stock, and continues onto the scope tube and the front sight.
Battle-Scarred has heavy chipping across the scope, magazine, grip and stock edges, and the orange on the handguard is badly broken up. Because the float range ends early for this skin, the wear does not reach the extreme look of skins with a wider range. In game the rifle reads as dark with scattered orange. Central areas of the receiver and stock still hold recognisable shards.
Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.52
The whole float range of Souvenir G3SG1 | Orange Crash is 0–0.52; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.52 segment (13% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Chroma 3 Collection with 17 skins in total.
It drops from Chroma 3 Case.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Orange, black and dark brown stickers blend with the shard pattern, while white or grey designs add clean contrast. Placements along the receiver and the flat side of the stock sit on the largest areas of the pattern.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within its wear range, since low-float copies look noticeably cleaner on the scope and magazine.
- Inspect the scope rims, front sight and magazine edges, which lose paint first.
- Look at the applied stickers and name tag, as they change how the orange and dark areas read.
- Decide whether you want a StatTrak™ version, which counts kills and is priced separately.
Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits
- Budget entry for players who want any version of this skin.
- Those who like a heavily chipped look that still keeps some pattern.
- The most affordable way to own Orange Crash.
