Skin overview

Battle-Scarred Scavenger pushes the scrap theme to the end: stripes and sign graphics are heavily worn, and darker metal shows through on the edges. The orange and yellow areas still read as colour spots from a distance. The look stays coherent because the skin was designed as salvaged parts in the first place.

Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The receiver and magazine keep an olive green base with dark accents, as the description says the rifle was originally green. The handguard is covered with a yellow and black hazard-striped panel with warning lettering, edged by a rust-brown strip, and the stock carries an orange sign plate with a black graphic.

The sign panels are heavily stripped, with dark metal showing through the stripes and stock graphic. Wear spreads to the magazine, receiver edges and scope. In game the yellow and orange remain visible as broken patches, and the green base still holds the overall look.

Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–0.65

The whole float range of Souvenir G3SG1 | Scavenger is 0–0.65; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.65 segment (31% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Danger Zone Collection with 17 skins in total.

It drops from Danger Zone Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Yellow, orange, black and olive stickers match the road sign theme. Warning-style or industrial designs placed on the receiver beside the striped handguard keep the scrapyard idea intact. Bright pastel colours tend to clash with the rusty palette.

What to check before buying

  • Check the float position within the wear grade, since the yellow handguard stripes show scratches first.
  • Inspect the edges of the orange stock plate, as they wear before the rest of the stock.
  • Pattern placement changes little on this skin, so focus on wear rather than seed.
  • Look at applied stickers and the name tag, which can change how the handguard reads.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Players who want the cheapest way to use the skin.
  • Collectors of heavily worn copies that match their theme.
  • Conclusion: the most battered version, consistent with the scrapyard idea.
