Skin overview

Black Sand covers the Galil AR in black paint broken up by sand camo patches and orange diagonal accents. In Well-Worn, the tan and orange areas show clear chipping, and the edges of the magazine, stock and handguard lose paint noticeably. The dark colour scheme suits the battered state, so the rifle looks rough rather than ruined.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Well-Worn

The receiver is painted black with sand and olive camo shapes and thin orange diagonal lines running across the side. The handguard is dark with khaki rings and patches, and the front sight and muzzle area carry the same tan tone.

The tan and orange paint is clearly chipped on the magazine, handguard and stock, and the stencil lettering starts to fade. Scratches reach the receiver sides and the camo shapes lose their crisp edges. In game the rifle looks visibly used, though the black base keeps the overall look tidy. The central part of the receiver and the grip still hold most of their paint.

Well-Worn quality — float range 0.38–0.45

The whole float range of Souvenir Galil AR | Black Sand is 0–1; Well-Worn takes the 0.38–0.45 segment (7% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in black, gold, tan or orange match the finish best and blend with the desert camo. Placements on the receiver above the camo shapes work well, while bright blue or pink stickers tend to clash with the muted base.

• Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since copies near the upper edge of a grade show noticeably more chipping.
• Look at the magazine first, as its orange stripes and white stencil are the most visible part and show wear early.
• Inspect the muzzle, handguard rims and stock corners, where the tan paint goes first.
• Check for existing stickers or a name tag and decide whether they fit the black and sand scheme.
