Skin overview

Galil AR | Kami in Battle-Scarred keeps its cream and black manga artwork as a base, but large patches of dark metal now break through the paint. Because the skin's range stops before the most extreme damage, the drawing remains recognisable on the larger surfaces. It is the most affordable way to get the motif into a loadout.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The receiver, magazine, stock and front sight carry a cream base covered with black ink-style manga line work: panel borders, speed lines and scattered fragments of drawings. The handguard, barrel and pistol grip stay dark grey and black, framing the light paint and making it stand out.

Broad patches of dark metal cover the magazine, the front sight and the edges of the receiver and stock. The line work is broken on many surfaces, and the cream looks patchy rather than solid. Because the skin's range does not reach the most extreme wear, the larger panels still show recognisable fragments of the drawing. In game the rifle reads as a heavily used cream-and-black weapon rather than a fully stripped one.

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Black, white and monochrome stickers fit the ink-drawn look best, especially comic or paper-style designs placed on the cream receiver. A single red accent can work well against the cream and black. Bright multicolour stickers tend to clash with the restrained palette.

• Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since the light base makes the difference between low and high floats easy to see.
• Inspect the magazine edges and the front sight first, because they lose paint before the rest of the rifle.
• Look at which fragments of the drawing land on the receiver and stock, as the hydrographic placement differs between copies.
• Check applied stickers and name tags, since they change the look of the cream areas noticeably.
