Show allAllSkin overview
The skin pairs a teal hydrographic print of sunburst-like zodiac circles with a dark blue stock and a dark metal barrel. In Minimal Wear the print reads almost the same as a factory copy, with only faint scuffs on sharp edges that are hard to spot in game. It keeps the full look of the pattern while usually asking less than the top grade.
Item type: machinegun. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.
Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
Appearance in Minimal Wear
The receiver, handguard and feed cover are coated in a sea-green hydrographic with darker teal radial shapes that look like stylised suns or zodiac emblems. The box magazine carries one of the largest and most legible circles on its side, framed by the same teal print.
Tiny scuffs may appear on the sharpest edges of the feed cover and the corners of the magazine box. The large emblem on the magazine and the print on the receiver remain intact. At normal distance in game the difference from Factory New is barely visible. The stock, grip and handguard look clean.
Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15
The whole float range of Souvenir M249 | Shipping Forecast is 0–0.5; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (16% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Gods and Monsters Collection with 14 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Stickers in teal, turquoise, navy or gold suit the sea-green print and the dark blue stock. Holographic or foil stickers in cool tones work well on the receiver, where they echo the radial motifs without hiding the magazine emblem.
What to look at before you buy
- Look at the float position within the wear range, since the full range of this skin stops early and the worst grades stay relatively mild.
- Check the corners of the box magazine and the feed cover edges, where the print wears off first.
- Look at how the large radial emblem sits on the side of the magazine, as its placement shapes the look of the gun.
- On Souvenir copies, check which stickers are applied and whether they suit the teal palette.
Who the Minimal Wear quality suits
- Players who want an almost factory look without paying for the top grade.
- Crafters who are fine with tiny edge scuffs under their stickers.
- A sensible pick for a near-clean copy at a lower cost.
