Skin overview

Cyber Security is built on large, bright colour fields, so the design stays readable even when the paint has started to wear. In Field-Tested the edges of the magazine and receiver show scuffs where the black base comes through, while the blue, red and gold bands keep their shape. The rifle still looks colourful from a distance, with a slightly used, street-worn character up close.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The receiver carries the busiest part of the design: gold and orange fields cut by red diagonal stripes, a cyan block and white character-style lettering on the side. The magazine continues the diagonals in gold, red and cyan, with a vertical column of white glyphs down its face.

Chipping is clearly visible along the magazine edges, the receiver's edges and the front of the handguard, and the pistol grip starts to show scuffs. The gold areas pick up light scratches, and some of the smaller glyphs lose parts of their strokes. In game the colour bands still read well and the skin is easy to recognise. The middle of the receiver panel and the stock band usually stay fairly clean, especially at the lower end of the range.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The float of Souvenir M4A4 | Cyber Security ranges from 0 to 0.98; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 23% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in red, gold, cyan or white blend well with the colour bands, especially on the receiver above the magazine. Holo or foil stickers with a tech or neon theme match the cyber-poster look of the finish. Dark or muted stickers work better on the black handguard area, where they do not compete with the bright panels.

What to check before buying

  • Look at the float position within the wear grade, because a low float in Field-Tested or Well-Worn can look noticeably cleaner than a high one.
  • Inspect the magazine edges, receiver edges and pistol grip, since these are the first parts where chips show on this finish.
  • Check the gold areas in close-up, as scratches stand out there more than on red or blue.
  • Note any stickers or name tag already applied and whether they fit the bright colour-block design.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

  • Players who want the bright CT rifle for daily use and accept edge wear.
  • Buyers who can hunt for a low float that looks close to cleaner grades.
  • A practical middle option for regular play.
