Souvenir MAG-7 | Petroglyph (Factory New)

Skin overview

MAG-7 | Petroglyph is a Restricted shotgun finish styled after rock carving. A grey stone texture covers the whole gun, and a band of red and cream triangles with glyph-like symbols runs along the receiver. In Factory New the red blocks and thin carved lines stay sharp, so the ornament reads cleanly against the stone.

Item type: shotgun. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Factory New

The whole MAG-7 is covered in a mottled grey stone texture with darker speckles and scratch-like streaks, including the barrel shroud, muzzle and grips. The side of the receiver carries a wide frieze of red and cream triangles framed by thin dark lines, with red blocks and small glyph symbols placed between them.

The finish is essentially untouched: the stone texture, red blocks and cream triangles look exactly as designed. The thin dark outlines around the ornament are crisp along the full length of the receiver. In game the red frieze stands out clearly against the grey body. Muzzle, magazine and grips are clean.

Factory New wear: float 0–0.07

The whole float range of Souvenir MAG-7 | Petroglyph is 0–0.44; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (16% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir MAG-7 | Petroglyph belongs to The Gamma 2 Collection, which holds 17 skins.

The source is Gamma 2 Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Red, cream and dark brown stickers echo the frieze and blend with the stone theme. Matte or paper stickers placed on the plain grey area of the barrel shroud or magazine avoid covering the ornament on the receiver.

What to check before buying

• Check where the float sits within the grade, since low-float copies keep the red ornament noticeably brighter.
• Inspect the muzzle, receiver edges and magazine base, as these lose paint first.
• Look at the red blocks and triangles on the receiver to judge how much contrast the frieze has kept.
• Note whether the copy is StatTrak™ and whether it already carries stickers or a name tag that fit your plans.

Who the Factory New quality suits

• Collectors who want the ornament in its sharpest form.
• Sticker crafters who need clean contrast around the frieze.
• Conclusion: the grade for those who value a crisp, untouched pattern.
