Skin overview

The Praetorian look rests on layered black plates, a carbon-style texture on the upper rear and a deep red section around the trigger area. Minimal Wear keeps this composition intact, with only faint marks that are hard to spot outside close inspection. It gives nearly the same picture in hand while sitting one grade below the cleanest copies.

Item type: shotgun. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The receiver is covered in glossy black metallic paint split into separate plates, with a carbon-style texture on the upper rear section and a deep red area running along the side near the trigger. The barrel and muzzle are plain black, while the forend grip is a contrasting pale grey with a smooth metallic sheen.

Minimal Wear adds small specks on the sharpest edges of the receiver plates and sometimes a faint mark on the forend contour. The gloss of the black paint and the red section stay largely untouched. At normal viewing distance in game the difference from Factory New is barely noticeable. The barrel, magazine and grip surfaces still look clean.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of Souvenir MAG-7 | Praetorian is 0–0.45; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (18% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Red, black and silver or holo stickers match the scheme and keep the restrained look. Placements on the flat side plates of the receiver work best, while bright multicolour stickers tend to break the dark composition.

What to check before buying

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, as low-float copies of a grade look closer to the cleaner one.
• Look at the pale forend grip, since marks on its light surface are the most visible part of the wear.
• Inspect the edges of the receiver plates and the magazine base, which lose paint first.
• Review applied stickers and any name tag, as they change the dark look of the receiver.
