Skin overview

Desert-Strike reads as a dark weapon with a light rear half, the tan grip and stock area standing out against the black receiver and suppressor. In Field-Tested the scheme is still clearly recognisable, though scuffs start to show on the muzzle end, the magazine edges and the grip.

Item type: smg. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The integrated suppressor is dark olive-black with a fine ribbed texture, thin yellow dashed lines along its length and small markings near the muzzle, ending in a tan band where it meets the receiver. The receiver is black with a tan rear section, small yellow stripes and tan sights on top.

Wear becomes noticeable on the suppressor tip, the magazine edges and the front of the tan grip, where small chips break the paint. The yellow segmented bars on the magazine may lose some sharpness at their corners. In game the gun still reads as clean tan and black, with damage visible mainly on close inspection.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir MP5-SD | Desert Strike is 0–1; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (23% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Prisma 2 Collection with 17 skins in total.

The source is Prisma 2 Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in tan, gold, yellow or black blend with the scheme, while a single bright accent can stand out against the dark suppressor. Placements on the receiver above the magazine work well, as the area is plain dark and frames the sticker cleanly.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since copies near the cleaner end keep the yellow markings noticeably sharper.
  • Look at the suppressor tip, magazine edges and tan grip, as these show damage first.
  • Review any applied stickers and name tag, and decide whether you want a StatTrak™ or Souvenir version.
  • The design has no pattern variation that matters, so focus on wear rather than seed.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players who want the full colour scheme for everyday use.
  • Budget-minded buyers who accept light chips on the edges.
  • A sensible all-round pick for regular play.
