Skin overview

Neon Ply is built around rainbow layers of laminated colour, and in Battle-Scarred that layering is broken up by heavy chipping that exposes bare metal. The grip, stock, magazine and top rail take the most damage, while patches of neon survive between the worn spots. It suits players who like a beaten, gritty take on an otherwise loud skin.

Item type: smg. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The whole MP7 is covered in a laminated plywood-style pattern: wavy contour bands separated by thin dark lines, each band filled with a different neon colour. The receiver mixes green, purple and yellow swirls, while the vertical front grip leans to yellow and gold with cyan accents.

Heavy chipping covers the front grip, the stock, the magazine and the top rail, exposing large areas of grey metal. The neon bands survive only as broken patches between the damaged spots. In game the gun reads as rough and patchy rather than smooth and bright. The receiver sides are the last place where the pattern stays readable.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–1

The whole float range of Souvenir MP7 | Neon Ply is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Shattered Web Collection with 17 skins in total.

The source is Shattered Web Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Holo and foil stickers in neon green, pink or cyan tie in well with the colour bands of the pattern. Dark or black-based stickers create contrast and stand out against the busy finish, especially on the receiver sides. Avoid too many multicoloured designs, which tend to blend into the artwork.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within its wear grade, because lower values keep the front grip and stock edges cleaner.
  • Inspect the front grip, stock edges and magazine base, as these are the first parts to lose paint.
  • Look at any applied stickers or name tag, since they can either complement or clash with the busy neon pattern.
  • Decide between StatTrak™, Souvenir or a regular copy before comparing offers, as they are listed separately.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Players looking for the most affordable entry to Neon Ply.
  • Fans of heavily worn, gritty finishes with patches of bright colour.
  • An entry option for those who value character over cleanliness.
