Skin overview

In Field-Tested, MP9 | Black Sand starts to look like gear that has been carried in the field. Light scuffs appear on the top of the receiver and the edges, which suits a military camo. The tan blotches and orange lines are still clearly readable.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The upper receiver carries the main camo: tan blotches with partly stepped edges over a dark olive-black base, with thin orange lines running along its length and a round emblem near the rear. The barrel shroud and muzzle stay dark, with a small orange accent at the front.

Scuffs become visible along the top of the receiver, on the muzzle and on the lower edge of the magazine. The orange lines can show small gaps near the edges. In game the pattern still reads clearly, with slight dullness on the top. The sides of the receiver and the stock arm mostly stay clean.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir MP9 | Black Sand is 0–1; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (23% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Clutch Collection with 17 skins in total.

The source is Clutch Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in tan, orange, olive or black tones blend with the camo without breaking it. Placements on the receiver sides work best, while a single bright accent can echo the orange lines.

What to check before buying

  • Look at where the float sits within the wear range, as lower floats keep the top of the receiver cleaner.
  • Inspect the muzzle, the magazine base and the stock edges, since these lose paint first.
  • Check that the orange lines along the receiver are unbroken if you want a crisp look.
  • Note any applied stickers or name tag, as they change the look of the camo.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

  • Players who want a readable camo that looks naturally used.
  • Buyers looking for a balanced grade for everyday play on the CT side.
  • Conclusion: a practical middle option that suits the military theme.
