Skin overview

A Well-Worn Contaminant looks like the pistol the description promises: a maroon coat noticeably eaten through, with grey metal patches along the slide and frame. The dark blotches and red outlines survive on the flatter areas, so the skin still keeps its identity. It is an inexpensive way to own the look in its most fitting form.

Item type: pistol. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Well-Worn

The whole P250 is coated in maroon paint covered with an irregular network of dark, almost black cells, each outlined by thin brighter red veins. The pattern runs continuously over the slide, including the rear serrations, and continues down the frame, trigger guard and grip, where the cells become larger and rounder.

Paint loss spreads from the edges onto the top of the slide and the lower part of the grip, leaving larger grey patches. The red outlines fade and the cells look patchy where metal shows through. In game the pistol reads as a rough, weathered maroon weapon. The flatter middle areas of the slide and frame still carry the pattern.

Well-Worn quality — float range 0.38–0.45

The float of Souvenir P250 | Contaminant ranges from 0 to 0.7; the Well-Worn quality covers 0.38–0.45 — 10% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Operation Broken Fang Collection with 17 skins in total.

It drops from Operation Broken Fang Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in dark red, black or muted metallic tones match the maroon base and dark cells without breaking the decayed look. A single sticker on the flat side of the slide keeps the pattern readable. Bright green or toxic-themed stickers can underline the contamination idea as a deliberate contrast.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies at the clean end of a grade keep visibly more paint on the slide edges.
  • Inspect the front of the slide and the muzzle, as these areas lose paint first.
  • Look at the lower edges of the grip and the trigger guard on worn copies to see how much of the pattern remains.
  • Check applied stickers and a name tag, as they change the look of the slide.

Who should buy Well-Worn

  • Fans of a rough, weathered look who want the theme taken further.
  • Budget buyers who still want the pattern clearly visible.
  • Conclusion: an inexpensive option with plenty of character.
