Skin overview

Cobalt Halftone gives the Bizon a technical, screen-print look: a turquoise dot grid laid over a metallic dark base. In Field-Tested the halftone is still clearly readable, while edges and raised parts start to show the grey metal beneath. The scuffs suit the industrial character of the finish rather than spoil it.

Item type: smg. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The receiver, handguard and front sight block carry a dark blue-grey metallic base with an oversized grid of turquoise halftone dots that change size and density across the panels. Lighter grey rectangles break up the pattern along the upper body, giving it a layered, printed look.

Field-Tested copies have clear scratches along the top rail, the front of the handguard and the receiver edges, with grey metal showing between the dots. The central side panels still hold most of the turquoise pattern. In game the colour scheme reads well, with a slightly used look. Higher floats in this grade show noticeably more scuffing than lower ones.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir PP-Bizon | Cobalt Halftone is 0.05–0.45; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (57% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Winter Offensive Collection with 13 skins in total.

The source is Winter Offensive Weapon Case (on sale since Dec 18, 2013).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Turquoise, teal and holo stickers in cool blue tones blend with the halftone pattern, while black, white or silver designs keep the look clean. Placing them on the dark side panels of the receiver avoids covering the densest dot areas.

What to look at before you buy

  • Compare the float within the chosen grade, since low and high values in Field-Tested look noticeably different.
  • Inspect the front sight, top rail and handguard edges, where the paint wears first.
  • Check applied stickers and any name tag, as they change both the look and the value of a copy.
  • Remember that the drum magazine and stock are unpainted, so judge condition by the upper body only.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

  • Players who want the turquoise scheme for everyday matches at a lower cost.
  • Buyers who like a lightly used, industrial look on an SMG.
  • Conclusion: a practical option, best chosen with a low float.
