Skin overview

The Death Rattle finish is recognisable by its reptile scale texture in muted browns and sand tones, closer to a natural camouflage than a bright design. At Field-Tested the pattern still reads as snakeskin from normal distance, while the edges of the receiver and the ends of the magazine start to show bare metal. The earthy palette hides light scuffs well.

Item type: smg. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The receiver, barrel shroud and drum magazine are covered in a dense dark brown scale texture with large tan diamond blotches, most prominent along the length of the magazine. The folding stock frame and parts of the receiver carry a lighter sand-gold tone, while the pistol grip stays a plain brown polymer and the muzzle is dark metal.

At Field-Tested small patches of bare metal appear on receiver edges, the magazine ends and around the muzzle. The stock frame edges begin to scuff. From normal distance the snakeskin pattern still reads clearly. The broad surfaces of the magazine and receiver remain mostly intact.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir PP-Bizon | Death Rattle is 0.08–0.5; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (55% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir PP-Bizon | Death Rattle belongs to The Havoc Collection, which holds 19 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Gold, brown, olive and holo stickers in warm tones blend with the snakeskin palette. Placements on the receiver above the magazine stay visible, while dark or reptile-themed stickers keep the earthy look consistent.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since lower values keep magazine ends and receiver edges cleaner.
  • Look at the front of the drum magazine and the muzzle, as these show wear first.
  • For Souvenir copies, review the applied stickers and how they fit the brown palette.
  • Check for a name tag or existing stickers if you plan your own craft.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players looking for a balanced look where wear is barely noticeable in game.
  • Buyers who like natural camouflage tones on an SMG.
  • A sensible middle choice for everyday play.
