Skin overview

Thermal Currents in Battle-Scarred keeps its red colour scheme, but the paint is broken up by worn patches and exposed metal on the most exposed parts. The birds lose some sharpness, and the finish reads as rough and weathered. Because the float range of this skin ends early, even the most worn copies do not reach the extreme wear seen on some other finishes.

Item type: smg. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The receiver, handguard and helical drum magazine are covered in an orange-red hydrographic layer with darker wine and brown swirls running through it. Silver-white bird silhouettes are placed across the top of the receiver, the handguard cutouts and the side of the magazine.

The heaviest wear in this range shows broad scratched areas on the receiver, the drum magazine and the stock frame. Many birds are broken up or only partly visible. Since the float range is capped early, the red finish still survives on a good share of the surface and the skin remains recognisable in game.

Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–0.6

The whole float range of Souvenir PP-Bizon | Thermal Currents is 0–0.6; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.6 segment (25% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Harlequin Collection with 19 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

What it costs in each quality

Among 12 skins of the PP-Bizon in the Consumer Grade grade and this quality, this skin ranks 5th by price, counting from the dearest.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Silver, white and holographic stickers echo the bird silhouettes and sit well on the red receiver. Dark red, black or gold stickers keep the warm palette intact, while bright blue or green ones will clash with the wine-coloured base.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since copies near the cleaner end show noticeably less edge wear.
  • Look at the receiver edges and the rim of the drum magazine, as these lose paint first.
  • Check how many bird silhouettes are clearly visible on the side shown in first person.
  • Review any applied stickers or name tag, especially on Souvenir copies.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Players who want the cheapest way to put this finish on their Bizon.
  • Fans of rough, scratched weapons who still want visible red paint.
  • The most budget-friendly grade with the pattern still recognisable.
