Olive green and snow camo panels are still the base of the look, but in Battle-Scarred much of the paint is scraped away. Dark metal is exposed across edges and raised parts, and the white patches turn dull and patchy. It is a rough, weathered version for those who like a worn-in sniper rifle.
Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.
Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.
How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred
The receiver, handguard rail, magazine and stock are painted in an olive-khaki green, while separate panels on the upper receiver, scope, grip, magazine and stock carry a white and light grey arctic camo pattern. The long barrel is a darker olive and the muzzle brake is grey metal, which keeps the front of the rifle visually calm.
Large areas of paint are gone on the rail, scope, magazine, grip and stock, exposing dark metal. The white camo panels are faded and broken up. In game the rifle reads as dark and weathered, with green and snow tones only in patches. Some paint remains on the flat sides of the receiver.
Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–1
The float of Souvenir SCAR-20 | Arctic Camo Panels ranges from 0 to 1; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–1 — 55% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case
The skin’s collection is The Spy Tech Collection with 17 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
White, grey, olive and black stickers suit the arctic military scheme and keep the rifle calm. Muted metallic or matte stickers placed on the green part of the receiver contrast well with the camo panels.
What to check before buying
- Look at the float position within the wear: low floats in Field-Tested look close to Minimal Wear, while high floats show more chipping.
- Check the rail ridges, muzzle and scope edges, since they lose paint first.
- See whether the white camo panels on the receiver and stock are still bright or already greyed out.
- Note any applied stickers or name tag, as they change the look of the receiver.
Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits
- Players who like a heavily worn, dark rifle with traces of camo.
- Collectors who gather the most worn versions of skins.
- Conclusion: the roughest look of the skin for fans of battered gear.
