Show allAllSkin overview
Caged on the SCAR-20 is a dark rifle with blue and purple gradient accents, and in Battle-Scarred those accents are the first thing to suffer. Much of the colour on the edges and raised parts is gone, leaving more bare grey metal showing through. This is the cheapest way to own the skin and leans fully into a worn, industrial look.
Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Battle-Scarred
The upper receiver carries the main colour work: a blue-to-purple gradient with teal and pinkish tints laid over a dark gunmetal base, plus small markings on the side. The long railed handguard and the barrel stay dark grey and black, which keeps the rifle looking tactical.
Large parts of the gradient on the receiver and buttstock are worn away, especially along edges and corners. The rails, scope tube and barrel area look heavily scratched. At normal distance the rifle reads mostly as dark grey with patchy colour accents. Only recessed and flat central areas keep noticeable paint.
Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–1
The whole float range of Souvenir SCAR-20 | Caged is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Genesis Collection with 17 skins in total.
The source is Sealed Genesis Terminal.
What it costs in each quality
Taking Battle-Scarred as the baseline, Factory New — 2417× dearer. The comparison uses our cheapest listing of each quality; where there is none, the market reference.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Stickers in blue, purple, teal or holographic tones echo the gradient and blend well with it. Dark or black stickers on the handguard keep the tactical look, while placements near the coloured receiver panel tie the craft together.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the gradient panels change noticeably between the low and high end of a grade.
- Look at the receiver top and the buttstock plate, as these carry the colour and lose it first.
- Inspect the rail edges and scope tube for scratches on worn copies.
- Check any applied stickers and name tag, and whether it is a StatTrak™ or Souvenir copy.
Who should buy Battle-Scarred
- Players looking for the cheapest entry to this skin.
- Fans of heavily worn, industrial-looking weapons.
- The minimum spend for a SCAR-20 with a finish.
