Skin overview

Battle-Scarred Cardiac is the most damaged version of the blue-and-orange wrap. Large patches of vinyl are gone from the barrel, stock and magazine, but the orange accent on the receiver still gives the rifle its identity. This grade appeals to those who like a heavily used look or want the lowest entry point.

Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The receiver is wrapped in dark blue with a bright orange burst across its side, flowing toward the grip and magazine well. The handguard carries the same blue, while the black barrel has an orange and red speckled section near its base.

Large areas of vinyl are missing on the barrel, magazine and stock, exposing grey metal. The handguard and scope show heavy scratching. The orange burst is broken up but remains the most intact part of the wrap. In game the rifle reads as rough and patchy, with the orange accent still standing out.

The float of Souvenir SCAR-20 | Cardiac ranges from 0 to 1; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–1 — 55% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

The skin’s collection is The Vanguard Collection with 14 skins in total.

It drops from Operation Vanguard Weapon Case (on sale since Nov 5, 2014).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in orange, blue, black or white match the wrap and keep the contrast intact. Placements on the blue handguard or stock let warm accents stand out, while the orange receiver area is better left uncovered.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since copies near the upper boundary show more scratches than the name suggests.
• Inspect the muzzle, rail edges and magazine bottom, as these lose the vinyl first.
• Look at the orange burst on the receiver to see how clean the main motif is on your copy.
• Note whether it is a StatTrak or Souvenir version and whether stickers or a name tag are applied.
