Skin overview

Battle-Scarred Palm is the most rugged version of this desert finish, with large worn areas on the receiver, rail and magazine. The leaf camouflage survives mainly on flatter, recessed surfaces, giving the rifle a sun-bleached, used look. This grade covers a wide part of the float range, so individual copies can differ noticeably.

Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The receiver, handguard rail, magazine, grip and folding stock are painted in a pale sand colour with olive-tan and brown palm-leaf silhouettes and a fine mesh texture sprayed on top. The scope body carries the same camouflage, while the barrel, muzzle brake, screws, trigger and small fittings stay black.

Large areas of the receiver, rail, magazine and scope are worn down to grey metal. The camouflage holds mostly on recessed and flat surfaces, and copies at the cleaner end of this grade keep noticeably more of it. In game the rifle has a patchy, weathered look. The black barrel and fittings look the same as in cleaner grades.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.8

The whole float range of Souvenir SCAR-20 | Palm is 0.06–0.8; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.8 segment (47% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Dust Collection with 9 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Sand, olive, brown and black stickers blend into the desert camouflage, and gold or holographic accents in warm tones stand out without clashing. The flat sides of the receiver and stock are the clearest places for stickers.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the grade, especially in Battle-Scarred, which covers a wide range.
  • Look at the rail teeth, magazine corners and scope rings, as these lose paint first.
  • Souvenir versions exist and come with their own stickers, so check which version you are buying.
  • On regular copies check any applied stickers and name tag, since they change the overall look.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Budget players who want the cheapest entry into this skin.
  • Fans of a heavily weathered, sun-bleached look.
  • Conclusion: pick a copy closer to the clean end if you want more of the pattern.
