Skin overview

This SG 553 finish is built on silver panels with warm yellow trim and a white wing decal on the rear of the rifle. In Field-Tested the silver starts to show scuffs along the edges, which gives the rifle a used, hangar-worn feel. The colour scheme is still clear at a glance.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The receiver and the long handguard are finished in light silver, with a row of yellow and orange ribs running along the handguard rails. The upper part of the receiver and the scope are darker grey and black, which frames the lighter panels.

Scuffs spread along the handguard edges and the magazine, and the silver loses some of its even shine. The raised parts of the stock begin to show light wear around the wing decal. In game the rifle reads as clearly silver and yellow, with the wear visible mainly up close. The central receiver panels and most of the decal still look clean.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir SG 553 | Aerial is 0–0.6; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (38% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Yellow, orange, white and silver stickers follow the skin's palette and sit well on the light handguard. Aviation or wing themes match the decal on the stock, while dark stickers work best on the grey upper receiver for contrast.

What to check before buying

• Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since lower values keep the silver panels cleaner.
• Look at the white wing decal on the stock, as its condition defines how the skin reads on worn copies.
• Inspect the handguard edges and magazine corners, which are the first places to lose paint.
• Note any applied stickers or name tag, as they change the look and do not always match the light colour scheme.
