Skin overview

Berry Gel Coat is a calm metallic finish: bronze over most of the rifle, red on the handguard, emblem, small receiver details and the stock end. In Field-Tested the bronze starts to show light scuffs on edges and the red loses a little crispness at the corners. The overall bronze-and-red look still reads clearly at normal distance.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The receiver, magazine, grip and stock are covered in a metallic bronze with a slightly brushed, darker tint in recesses. The lower handguard is painted a bright berry red, and red also appears as a round emblem on the side of the receiver, small details around the trigger area, accents on the scope and the end of the stock.

Light scuffs show along the handguard ribs, the top of the receiver and the magazine edges, and the red corners start to lose definition. The broad bronze surfaces of the receiver and stock still look mostly intact. In game the wear reads as a slightly used finish without breaking the colour scheme.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir SG 553 | Berry Gel Coat is 0–0.8; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (29% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Graphic Design Collection with 16 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Red, gold and bronze stickers echo the finish and keep the craft unified. Placing a red or gold sticker on the bronze receiver area balances the strong red block of the handguard. Dark or black stickers also sit well against the metallic bronze.

What to look at before you buy

• Look at the float position within the wear range, since the red handguard shows scratches early.
• Check the handguard ribs and magazine edges in the inspect view, as these lose paint first.
• Make sure whether the copy is a regular or Souvenir version, because there is no StatTrak™ variant of this skin.
• Check applied stickers and any name tag so they match how you want the rifle to look.
