Skin overview

Battle-Scarred turns the bright red paint job into a rough, heavily chipped coat with large patches of metal showing. The red still marks out the receiver, grip and barrel, so the skin remains recognisable even in this state. It suits buyers who like a weathered spray-paint look or simply want the colours at the lowest entry.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.

Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The receiver, pistol grip, trigger guard, barrel and front sight block are painted a bright solid red. The long railed handguard, the magazine and the adjustable stock stay dark grey to black, as does the scope on top.

Large sections of the red coat are gone from the receiver, grip, barrel and front sight, leaving wide areas of bare metal. The dark parts carry heavy scuffing on rails, magazine and stock edges. In game the red appears broken and patchy, though the colour scheme is still recognisable. Some red remains in the recessed and central areas.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.7

The float of Souvenir SG 553 | Candy Apple ranges from 0 to 0.7; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–0.7 — 36% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Souvenir SG 553 | Candy Apple belongs to The Canals Collection, which holds 18 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Red, black and white stickers match the two-tone scheme and keep the rifle clean-looking. Placing them on the dark handguard makes them stand out, while red stickers on the receiver blend into the paint for a subtle accent. Gold or holographic stickers add contrast without clashing with the plain finish.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since a solid colour shows every chip clearly.
  • Look at the front sight, receiver corners and muzzle end of the barrel, where the red wears off first.
  • Pattern does not matter for this skin, so compare copies by float and condition only.
  • Review any stickers or name tag on the copy, as they change how the plain finish looks.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Buyers looking for the lowest entry into this colour scheme.
  • Fans of a heavily weathered, chipped paint style.
  • The budget pick for those who just want the red SG 553 in hand.
