Show allAllSkin overview
The skin is recognisable by its black and gunmetal tones broken by orange and yellow patches on the receiver and the stock. In Field-Tested the dark base starts to show lighter scuffs on edges and raised parts, which suits the rough metal theme rather than spoiling it. The warm highlights still stand out clearly in game.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
How the skin looks in Field-Tested
The upper receiver is covered in a dark studded texture, while the long handguard carries grey ribbed rails with a darker centre line. The lower receiver and the area around the trigger are black with splashes of orange, red and yellow that look like glowing metal.
Scuffs become visible on the magazine edges, the handguard ribs and the corners of the stock. The black base looks slightly lighter in these spots. In game the wear is noticeable on the magazine and stock in the first-person view. The orange patches on the receiver still look mostly whole.
Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38
The whole float range of Souvenir SG 553 | Heavy Metal is 0–1; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (23% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Snakebite Collection with 17 skins in total.
It drops from Snakebite Case.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Orange, yellow, gold and black stickers match the warm accents on the dark base. Placing them on the black receiver area keeps them readable without clashing with the studded texture.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a low float in a worn grade keeps more of the black paint.
- Look at the magazine edges and the stock first, as these parts lose paint before the rest of the rifle.
- Make sure the orange accents and the stars on the stock are still intact if they matter to you.
- Inspect any stickers and name tag on the offer, as they change the overall look.
Who the Field-Tested quality suits
- Players who like the rough metal theme and do not mind scuffs.
- Buyers looking for a balance between look and cost.
- Conclusion: a practical everyday grade for this rifle.
