Skin overview

Calligrafaux turns the SSG 08 into a red rifle with a handwritten-style pattern and dark, plain metal parts around it. In Field-Tested the red still dominates, but chips start to show on edges and protruding parts, giving the paint a used look. At normal distance the rifle still reads clearly as red with dark streaks.

Item type: sniper rifle. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.

Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The receiver, handguard and magazine area are painted bright red with a darker red pattern of thin, looping strokes that resemble calligraphy. The scope tube and its rings carry the same red treatment, while the barrel stays dark and the muzzle brake and bipod remain plain grey metal.

Chips become visible along the handguard edges, around the scope rings and near the bolt. The grip and the top edge of the stock start to show light scratches. The red body and the script pattern on the flat surfaces still look mostly intact, so in game the skin still reads as clean red.

Souvenir version

Stickers and crafts

Black, white and gold stickers stand out well on the red body and echo the dark script strokes. Red stickers placed on the receiver blend into the finish for a calmer, monochrome craft.

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since a low value in a grade means fewer chips on the scope and handguard.
