Skin overview

Battle-Scarred Gunsmoke trades the clean doodle for a rough mix of cream paint, faded brown lines and exposed metal. Large areas of the pattern are gone from edges and raised parts, and grey dominates the front half of the weapon. The result matches the name: a smoky, worn-down look for players who prefer a gritty finish.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The receiver, upper rail area and handguard are covered in a cream base with a dense brown gel pen doodle of swirls, curls and paisley-like shapes. The stock is a plain reddish-brown with a darker frame, which echoes the colour of the linework.

Large parts of the cream base and the doodle are worn away from edges, the rail and the handguard, leaving wide grey patches. The remaining brown lines are faded and broken. In game the gun looks rough and mostly grey at the front, with only fragments of the pattern on the sides. The stock is heavily scuffed, while the neutral grey parts change the least.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in brown, sepia, cream or black ink tones blend with the doodle and keep the hand-drawn feel. Placing them on the plain side of the receiver near the stock avoids covering the densest part of the pattern. Bright saturated colours will stand out sharply against the pale base.

What to check before buying

• Factory New copies sit in a very narrow slice of the float range, so compare the exact float if you want the cleanest look.
• Check the top edge of the receiver and the front of the handguard, as these lose paint first.
• Pattern placement only shifts where the doodle falls and rarely changes the overall look.
• Souvenir copies carry stickers that cannot be removed, so make sure you like them before buying.
