Skin overview

Battle-Scarred Overgrowth keeps the green, yellow and olive palette but shows it through heavy scuffing. The silencer and slide carry wide areas of exposed dark metal, giving the pistol a used field-weapon character. It suits players who like the camo theme and do not mind a weathered finish.

Item type: pistol. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The whole USP-S is wrapped in one hydrographic camo: a mid-green base with large bright yellow blotches and smaller dark olive and black spots layered on top. The silencer carries the densest yellow patches, while the slide and frame mix green and dark spots more evenly.

The silencer and slide carry large patches of exposed dark metal, and the edges of the frame, trigger guard and grip are heavily scuffed. Because the range ends before the highest floats, the camo never disappears entirely and the colours remain recognisable. The grip panels keep the most paint. At normal distance the finish reads as a heavily weathered green and yellow camo.

Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–0.8

The float of Souvenir USP-S | Overgrowth ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–0.8 — 47% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Bravo Collection with 15 skins in total.

The source is Operation Bravo Case (on sale since Sep 20, 2013).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in yellow, green, black or gold tones match the camo palette and sit well on the slide. Holographic or gold stickers in warm colours add accents without fighting the busy pattern, while cold blue or pink designs tend to clash with it.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, especially in Field-Tested where low and high floats look noticeably different.
  • Look at the silencer muzzle and the top edges of the slide, as these lose paint first.
  • The pattern placement varies, so check that the silencer and slide show the yellow patches the way you prefer.
  • Review any stickers or name tag already applied, since they affect how the busy camo reads.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Players looking for the cheapest way to own this camo.
  • Fans of heavily weathered finishes and a rugged look.
  • Conclusion: the budget entry for those who do not mind visible metal.
