SSG 08 | Acid Fade (Factory New)

Skin overview

SSG 08 | Acid Fade is a Mil-Spec Grade finish for the SSG 08 sniper rifle, built on a transparent acid-green gradient that fades into dark grey over a chrome base. The brightest green sits on the scope and the rear of the chassis, while the barrel and front end stay dark. In Factory New, the only wear this skin comes in, the gradient reads clean and even, with the green keeping its full glow.

Item type: sniper rifle. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Anodized Airbrushed: a coloured coating with an airbrushed design on top; the coating holds while the design fades with wear.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The scope carries the most saturated part of the finish, a bright yellow-green that covers the tube and the turrets. The chassis fades from acid green at the rear, around the magazine area and stock frame, into near-black toward the handguard and rail. The barrel, muzzle brake and bipod stay in dark and medium grey, which keeps the green concentrated at the back of the rifle. The textured pistol grip and buttstock pads remain grey, framing the coloured stock section. On anodized airbrushed finishes wear shows first as the colour thinning on edges and raised parts, letting the chrome base show through.

The float range of this skin covers only Factory New, so every copy looks practically untouched. The green on the scope and stock frame stays saturated, and the fade into dark grey along the chassis is smooth. Edges of the scope turrets and the stock frame show no visible thinning of colour. In game at normal distance the rifle reads as a dark gun with a bright green scope and rear end.
