Skin overview

Detour is recognisable by its doodled look: a cream-white SSG 08 body scribbled over with black marker arrows and notes. Minimal Wear keeps that look almost untouched, with only faint scuffs that are hard to spot outside inspect. It is the closest look to a fresh copy at a lower grade.

Item type: sniper rifle. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The receiver, handguard and pistol grip are painted in a cream-white base coat covered with black permanent-marker arrows, lines and small sketches. The handguard cutouts and rail sections stay dark, breaking up the white surface.

Light specks may appear on the receiver edges and the front of the handguard. The white stays bright and the marker art is intact. At normal distance it looks the same as Factory New. The grip and stock area remain clean.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of SSG 08 | Detour is 0–0.43; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (19% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Souvenir version

Which stickers suit it

Black-and-white or monochrome sketch-style stickers match the marker doodles. Placing them on the white receiver keeps them visible, while a single colour accent can work against the neutral base.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear, since the white base shows scuffs more clearly than darker finishes.
  • Inspect the receiver edges and the grip, which lose paint first.
  • Look at applied stickers and name tags, and note that Souvenir copies come with their own fixed stickers.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • Players who want a near-new look at a lower grade.
  • Collectors fine with marks visible only in inspect.
  • A sensible middle ground.
