StatTrak™ AWP | Electric Hive (Field-Tested)

Skin overview

Electric Hive is built around a honeycomb of red lines over violet and blue, framed by the plain dark barrel and scope. In Field-Tested the pattern is still recognisable, while scuffs begin to show along the stock edges and the front of the handguard. The worn spots add a used, working look to the bright mesh.

Item type: sniper rifle. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the Souvenir version.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The hydrographic covers the stock, grip area, receiver and magazine with a violet base that shifts into blue in places and carries a mottled texture. Over it runs a grid of red hexagons outlined as if glowing, densest and most visible on the receiver and the sides of the stock.

Wear becomes visible on the stock edges, the thumbhole, the handguard tip and the magazine corners, where the paint thins or lifts. The red outlines look somewhat duller and less even. The receiver and the flat sides of the stock still keep the honeycomb clearly, so the skin is easy to recognise in game.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of StatTrak™ AWP | Electric Hive is 0–0.4; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (57% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

StatTrak™ AWP | Electric Hive belongs to The eSports 2013 Winter Collection, which holds 12 skins.

It drops from eSports 2013 Winter Case (on sale since Jul 9, 2014).

What it costs in each quality

Among 9 skins of the AWP in the Classified grade and this quality, this skin ranks 3rd by price, counting from the dearest.

StatTrak™ version

This is the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon shows confirmed kills. There is also the regular version without the counter. Right now the StatTrak™ version is 1.8× dearer than the regular one.

Stickers and crafts

Red, purple and holographic stickers fit the glowing hexagon grid and the violet base. Dark or black stickers placed along the receiver keep the honeycomb readable without breaking the colour scheme.

What to check before buying

• Compare the float position within the wear, since low-float copies keep the red lines noticeably brighter.
• Look at the stock edges, thumbhole and magazine corners, as these lose paint first.
• Check whether applied stickers cover the receiver, where the hexagon grid is most visible.
• Note any name tag and whether you want a StatTrak™ or Souvenir version instead of a regular one.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

• Players who use the AWP often and want the honeycomb look at a lower cost.
• Buyers who like a slightly used appearance on the edges.
• Conclusion: a practical everyday choice.
