StatTrak™ FAMAS | Macabre (Field-Tested)

Skin overview

FAMAS | Macabre is recognisable by its yellow-green skull pattern spread over the whole body of the rifle. In Field-Tested the busy, mottled design hides scuffs well, so worn spots on the edges blend into the pattern. At normal distance in game it looks close to the cleaner grades.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the Souvenir version.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The skull pattern covers the carry handle, receiver, handguard and stock as one continuous surface, mixing olive green, mustard yellow and pale cream with dark outlines. The magazine and pistol grip carry the same motif, so the rifle looks uniformly coated from muzzle area to buttplate.

Wear spreads along the carry handle, stock edges and the bottom of the magazine, where the green layer thins and the yellow base shows through. The grip starts to look rubbed. The central parts of the receiver and stock still hold the full pattern. In game the scuffs blend into the mottled design and are hard to separate from it.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of StatTrak™ FAMAS | Macabre is 0–0.6; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (38% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Operation Hydra Collection with 17 skins in total.

It drops from Operation Hydra Case.

What it costs in each quality

Among 7 skins of the FAMAS in the Mil-Spec Grade grade and this quality, this skin ranks 3rd by price, counting from the dearest.

StatTrak™ version

This is the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon shows confirmed kills. There is also the regular version without the counter. Right now the StatTrak™ version is 7% cheaper than the regular one.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in olive, mustard, cream or black match the skull pattern and do not fight with it. Single bold stickers on the stock or receiver side stand out better than many small ones, which get lost in the busy design.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade look noticeably fresher on the edges.
• Look at the top of the carry handle and the bottom of the magazine, as these spots show wear first.
• Check applied stickers and any name tag, because they change how the busy pattern reads.
• Decide between StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions before comparing offers, since both exist for this skin.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

• Players on a budget, since the busy pattern hides scuffs well in game.
• Those who want a themed FAMAS for the counter-terrorist side without overpaying.
• Good value for everyday play.
