Show allAllSkin overview
FAMAS | ZX Spectron is a black rifle finish inspired by old gaming computers, recognisable by the rainbow stripes on the carry handle and side of the receiver and by thin red outlines along the body. In Factory New the black base is deep and even, the stripes are bright with sharp borders, and every small marking on the stock and magazine is crisp.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
The same quality also exists as the Souvenir version.
How the skin looks in Factory New
The whole FAMAS is covered in a matte black and charcoal base, with thin red outlines tracing the carry handle, receiver and trigger guard. A rainbow stripe of red, yellow, green and cyan runs across the carry handle and repeats on the side of the receiver above the grip.
The finish is essentially untouched: the black base is uniform and the red outlines run unbroken around the body. The rainbow stripes on the carry handle and receiver have clean, sharp borders. In game the contrast between black and colour is at its strongest, and all the small lettering on the stock and magazine is legible.
Factory New quality — float range 0–0.07
The whole float range of StatTrak™ FAMAS | ZX Spectron is 0–1; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (7% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Operation Riptide Collection with 17 skins in total.
It drops from Operation Riptide Case.

- Well-Worn — 7.2× cheaper
- Battle-Scarred — 7.1× cheaper
Based on the cheapest SkinOut.gg listing of each quality, otherwise on the market reference.

StatTrak™ version
This is the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon shows confirmed kills. There is also the regular version without the counter. Right now the StatTrak™ version is 10% dearer than the regular one.
Stickers and crafts
Stickers in red, yellow, green or cyan echo the rainbow stripe, while plain black or holo stickers keep the dark body clean. Placing them along the receiver or stock, away from the stripes, keeps the retro-computer motif readable.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies at the cleaner end of a grade keep the stripes and red outlines noticeably better.
- Inspect the carry handle stripe and the muzzle first, as these parts lose paint before the rest of the rifle.
- Look at the red outlines along the receiver and trigger guard, because broken lines change the clean retro look quickly.
- Note any applied stickers or name tag and whether they suit the black and rainbow scheme.
Who the Factory New quality suits
- Collectors who want the sharpest stripes and unbroken red outlines.
- Sticker crafters who need a fully clean black base.
- The choice for those who want the design exactly as intended.
