Skin overview

G3SG1 | Black Sand is a Mil-Spec Grade custom paint job for the terrorist-side auto-sniper, built from olive green, sandy tan and black angular shapes. In Factory New the tan blocks keep sharp edges and the black outlines stay crisp along the stock and receiver. This is the grade for a buyer who wants the pattern exactly as designed.

Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the Souvenir version.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The receiver carries an olive green base broken by large tan wedges and black outlined panels, while its top rail and the trigger area stay dark. The barrel is black with tan bands, and the muzzle device has a tan tip.

The paint is intact on every part of the rifle. The tan wedges have clean edges and the black outlines are unbroken. The muzzle tip and scope rings keep full colour. In game the rifle looks exactly like the preview.

Factory New wear: float 0–0.07

The float of StatTrakā„¢ G3SG1 | Black Sand ranges from 0 to 0.8; the Factory New quality covers 0–0.07 — 9% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in gold, tan, black or olive tones match the artwork without breaking the camo look. Placing them on the receiver side next to the tan wedges keeps the layout balanced, while bright blue or pink stickers will stand out strongly against the scheme.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end keep more of the tan bands.
  • Look at the muzzle tip and scope rings first, as these parts show wear earliest.
  • Inspect the stock edges and the bottom of the magazine on Field-Tested and lower copies.
  • Note any applied stickers or name tag and whether they match the tan and olive scheme.

Who the Factory New quality suits

  • Collectors who want the tan wedges and black outlines fully intact.
  • Sticker crafters who need a clean surface for gold or tan stickers.
  • Conclusion: the grade for those who value the original look.
